Account & Data Deletion
Signed-in users can download their DayTrip-uploaded images and permanently delete their own account here. This page also provides the public data-deletion information required for connected services such as Facebook.
What deletion removes
- Your DayTrip profile and social identity.
- Friend connections and pending friend requests.
- Group Day memberships and invitations associated with your profile.
- Saved traveller data such as favourites and personal itineraries where it is tied solely to your account.
- Trip memories, uploaded photos and comments tied to your account.
- Facebook identifiers stored for optional Facebook connection and friend matching.
- Your DayTrip sign-in account after applicable DayTrip subscription cancellation and cleanup have completed.
Information we may need to retain
Some information may need to be retained for a limited period where required for accounting, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, backups or other legal obligations. Where possible, retained information will be minimised and no longer used for ordinary account features.
Facebook data deletion
If Facebook is connected to your DayTrip account, self-service account deletion above removes the Facebook-linked identifiers held by DayTrip as part of the same process.
Removing DayTrip from Facebook Apps and Websites stops future Facebook access but does not itself guarantee deletion of information already stored by DayTrip. Use the signed-in deletion control above when you also want DayTrip-held account data removed.
Cannot sign in?
If you cannot access your DayTrip account or the email address linked to it, use the DayTrip contact form. We may need to verify account ownership before processing a manual deletion request. Never send passwords or payment-card details.
